Diesel Engine Assembly Production
Diesel Engine Assembly Production
This RFID diesel engine assembly line matching control solution adopts recyclable RFID tags for work-in-progress engines and material loading fixtures respectively. RFID reading antennas are deployed at each assembly station, paired with on-site light and buzzer prompt devices.

The background management platform connects with enterprise resource systems, automatically reading and cross-verifying component information and engine assembly requirements in real time. The system gives visual light prompts to guide operators to complete accurate assembly, automatically records full assembly records, fundamentally avoids wrong fitting of parts, improves assembly efficiency and realizes digital lean production management of multi-model mixed assembly lines.
I. Pain Points of Traditional Diesel Engine Assembly Production
1.1 High error rate of manual component matching inspection
Multi-type diesel engines are mixed on the same production line. Operators rely on manual comparison of assembly lists and component codes to match parts, which easily causes misassembly, missing assembly and wrong installation. Defective finished engines lead to customer complaints and substantial after-sales economic losses.

1.2 Low efficiency of manual paper assembly records
Assembly progress, part matching information all rely on handwritten paper lists. Manual filling and sorting consume a lot of labor time, slow down line cycle speed and restrict overall production output capacity.

1.3 Disconnected data between production line and enterprise business system
On-site assembly records cannot be automatically synchronized to enterprise resource management platforms. Staff need repeated manual data entry, resulting in inconsistent production data and delayed production plan adjustment.

1.4 Lack of real-time on-site error warning mechanism
There is no automatic interlock prompt during assembly. Wrong parts can only be found after finished product inspection, and rework and replacement costs are extremely high after assembly is completed.

1.5 Cumbersome single barcode scanning operation
Parts rely on one-dimensional barcode manual scanning for registration. Each component needs independent alignment scanning, increasing repetitive operations and slowing down assembly beat.

1.6 Unfinished full assembly traceability archives
Manual ledgers are easy to lose or alter. Once quality problems occur, it is impossible to quickly check the complete matching records of all components of each engine for responsibility tracing.
II. Solution Overview
2.1 Dual tag binding for engines and material fixtures
Install reusable RFID tags on each diesel work-in-progress carrier to store engine model, order and standard assembly part data; attach independent RFID tags to each component loading fixture to record all component codes and quantities inside the fixture. Tags can be recycled after the engine assembly is completed.

2.2 Full-station automatic dual data collection
Install RFID antenna reading equipment at the inlet of each assembly station. The system first reads the tag information of the passing engine, then automatically triggers reading of the fixture tag data at the current station, realizing non-stop automatic data collection without manual scanning.

2.3 Automatic background data cross-verification
The back-end platform receives engine assembly requirements and fixture component data simultaneously, intelligently judges whether the current batch of parts matches the engine assembly standard, and completes data comparison without manual participation.

2.4 On-site visual audio-visual error reminder device
Each station is equipped with indicator lights and buzzers. Green light indicates matching parts for normal assembly; red light plus buzzer alarm reminds workers to replace mismatched material fixtures, blocking assembly errors at the source before installation.

2.5 Seamless docking with enterprise resource system
The platform reserves standard data interfaces to realize real-time bidirectional synchronization between on-site assembly data and enterprise management systems, eliminating duplicate manual transcription and unifying production data management.

2.6 Permanent full assembly trace electronic archives
The system automatically stores the complete matching record of each engine and all supporting components. All assembly operation logs are permanently saved, supporting quick quality traceability, batch inspection and production data statistical analysis.
