In ultra-high frequency (UHF) RFID tag systems, the identification of tags affixed to metal carriers is particularly difficult. These systems provide a large read/write range, but their RF is more difficult to penetrate obstacles such as metals. Higher frequency radio waves will be reflected back by metal objects.

Currently, high-efficiency wave absorbing materials are used, based on the principle of electromagnetic waves propagating in the medium from a low magnetic conductivity to a high magnetic conductivity direction. High permeability ferrite is used to guide electromagnetic waves. Through resonance, a large amount of radiation energy of electromagnetic waves is absorbed, and then the energy of electromagnetic waves is converted into thermal energy through coupling.
